A537 cl1 carbon steel plates are engineered to be used in pressure vessel applications. A537 Class 1 steel plates shall be normalized in all of thickness. This material is a normalised steel which is heat treated and as a consequence displays greater yield and tensile strength than the more standard ASTM A516 grades. The steel is ideal for use in pressurised service both in boilers and pressure vessels.
A537 cl1 pressure vessel plate are manufactured in the finest mills of the Katalor steel which are readily equipped with the latest technology machines and tools. These plates are also supplied in different conditions as rolled, normalized roll, thermo-mechanical controlled rolled, also in the furnace normalized condition, and in the shot blast and primer coated condition.
